Schofield's Garden Cup -- a tall glass with cucumber, mint, strawberry and lemonade

Schofield's Garden Cup

Every garden party needs a pitcher drink that people can pour themselves, and this one starts with Schofield's. Dry vermouth works brilliantly as a long drink base -- it has enough complexity to hold up against ice and lemonade without needing anything heavy alongside it. Think of it as a British cup in the old-fashioned sense: tall, cold, full of herbs and fruit, gone before you notice.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Schofield's English Dry Vermouth
  • 100 ml cloudy lemonade
  • 15 ml fresh lemon juice
  • Cucumber ribbon, mint sprig + strawberry slice (garnish)

Method

Step 1: Build

Fill a tall glass or small jug with ice. Pour in Schofield's and lemon juice, then top with cloudy lemonade.

Step 2: Stir

Give a gentle stir to bring the vermouth and lemonade together without losing the fizz.

Step 3: Garnish and serve

Add a long cucumber ribbon, a sprig of mint and a strawberry slice. Serve outdoors, ideally.

Tasting Notes

Crisp, herbaceous vermouth stretched out by lemonade, with cucumber and mint adding a green, garden freshness. It drinks like summer in a glass and scales up to a jug without any fuss.
