The White Negroni has earned its place as one of the great modern classics, and for Negroni Week we wanted to show what happens when you build one around SCHOFIELD'S Dry. Part of our Negroni Week Special collection, this is the lightest of the three, but it doesn't pull any punches on complexity. This one works well on the rocks, but we also love it as a Martini-style serve.
Where a traditional Negroni leans on bitter Campari, this version swaps in Suze for an earthy, gentian-driven bitterness that lets SCHOFIELD'S herbal character step forward. The result is golden, aromatic, and surprisingly layered.
Ingredients
- 30 ml SCHOFIELD'S Dry Vermouth
- 30 ml London dry gin
- 20 ml Suze gentian liqueur
- Lemon twist (garnish)
Method
Step 1: Stir
Combine SCHOFIELD'S, gin, and Suze in a mixing glass with plenty of ice. Stir for 20 seconds until well chilled.
Step 2: Strain
Strain into a chilled coupe glass or over a single large ice cube in a rocks glass.
Step 3: Garnish
Express a lemon twist over the surface and drop it in.
Tasting Notes
Floral and herbaceous on the nose, with SCHOFIELD'S delicate warmth coming through mid-palate. The Suze brings a clean, alpine bitterness on the finish that lingers without heaviness.
