An afternoon highball pairing Dispense amaro with cold-brew coffee and soda. Bittersweet, gently caffeinated, and surprisingly long.

Dispense Coffee Soda

Coffee in cocktails too often means dessert. This is the opposite — a long, bittersweet highball that drinks more like a soda than a treat. Part of our Summer Highballs trio, served chilled and pulled together in under five minutes.

Ingredients

  • 40 ml Dispense Modern British Amaro
  • 30 ml cold-brew coffee concentrate
  • 120 ml chilled soda water
  • Orange twist (garnish)

Method

Step 1: Build

Fill a tall highball glass with ice. Add the Dispense and cold-brew coffee concentrate.

Build -- Dispense Coffee Soda

Step 2: Top

Top with cold soda water and stir once from the bottom up to combine the layers without flattening the fizz.

Top -- Dispense Coffee Soda

Step 3: Garnish and serve

Express an orange twist over the surface, then drop it in. Drink while the bubbles are still working.

Garnish and serve -- Dispense Coffee Soda

Tasting Notes

Roasted, bittersweet and effervescent — like an Italian cafe terrace in the afternoon. The amaro's botanicals lift the coffee's depth, and the soda keeps the whole thing long and easy.
