Cunard Elderflower Spritz

There is a window in spring when elderflower is everywhere — hedgerows, cordials, the back of every good bar — and we think Cunard is a perfect match for it. This spritz pairs the crisp, saline character of our dry vermouth with floral elderflower and a long pour of sparkling wine. It barely needs a recipe: build, top, drink.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Cunard English Dry Vermouth
  • 15 ml elderflower liqueur
  • 90 ml dry sparkling wine
  • Cucumber slice + elderflower sprig (garnish)

Method

Step 1: Build over ice

Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add Cunard and elderflower liqueur.

Step 2: Top and stir

Top with chilled sparkling wine and give a single gentle stir to combine.

Step 3: Garnish and serve

Garnish with a long cucumber slice and a small elderflower sprig if you can find one. Serve while cold and effervescent.
