Asterley Paloma Highball cocktail in a tall glass with ice and grapefruit garnish

Asterley Paloma Highball

We wanted something that hits the same notes as a Paloma but lands somewhere more interesting. Part of our Summer Highballs collection, three tall serves built for long afternoons and warm evenings. This one pairs Asterley Original's bitter orange backbone with sparkling grapefruit soda, and the lime pulls it all into focus.

It's the kind of drink you can build in thirty seconds and sip for an hour. No shaker, no fuss, just ice and good ingredients doing their thing.

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Asterley Original British Aperitivo
  • 15 ml fresh lime juice
  • 100 ml sparkling grapefruit soda
  • Grapefruit wedge (garnish)

Method

Step 1: Build

Fill a tall highball glass with ice. Pour in the Asterley Original and lime juice.

Step 2: Top

Top with cold sparkling grapefruit soda and give it one gentle stir to bring everything together.

Step 3: Garnish

Squeeze a grapefruit wedge over the top, drop it in, and serve with a straw.

Tasting Notes

Bright citrus up front from the grapefruit, with Asterley Original's bitter orange and gentian root adding depth underneath. Refreshing and dry on the finish, the kind of drink that disappears quickly on a warm day.
